The Ottawa Avenue Cemetery Association along with Seneca High School and Seneca FFA is presenting the 8th annual weekend of events honoring the life and death of General WHL Wallace. This year’s event is located at the FFA Land Lab in Seneca. Wallace was one of Illinois’ greatest Civil War heroes. Visitors can meet famous figures of the past and learn of the relationship WHL Wallace had with Abraham Lincoln.

o 10 am Civil War Camp Opens

- Period Music & Medical demos throughout

- Artifact displays

- Local artifacts and displays onsite

- Camp Life, cooking, Sutler, Blacksmith, Cooper

- Medical Demonstrations – All Day

o 19th Century Music – Multiple performances Saturday

o 2 pm – Civil War Battle

o 7:30 pm – Return for canon Night Fire

**** Sunday Schedule

o 9 am Civil War Camp Opens

o 9 am Purchase and eat Breakfast with soldiers

o 10 am Public Historic Church Service

o 12 pm – Noon – Civil War Battle

- Camp Life, cooking, Sutler, Blacksmith, Cooper

- Medical Demonstrations – All Day

- Civil War drill, period music

- Camp Life, cooking, Sutler, Blacksmith, Cooper

- Medical Demonstrations – All Day

Civil War Vendors and other food available for purchase

ALL NET PROCEEDS GO TO THE RESTORATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE DICKEY CEMETERY; GENERAL WALLACE’S RESTING PLACE.
